NEXUS Duo at the Carriage House
Enjoy an intimate gathering with musical duo ‘Nexus’ at Wellness Art Center’s Carriage House, 200 Lake Avenue, Montrose, Pa on Sunday, January 18. You are welcome to light refreshments and drinks at 2:30 pm in the main house before the event begins at 3 pm. Tickets are $25 pre-show, and $30 at the door. Ring in the new year in a warm, welcoming space and be delighted with a wonderful selection of world and popular music!
Nexus is a jazz duo/trio that performs elegant instrumental music in the form of ballads, Brazilian, Argentine, romantic classical, and popular songs, covering a wide range of material. For five years, we were the house band at Feliz Wine and Tapas, an Argentine restaurant in Endicott. Nexus has experience performing various jazz, fundraising and festival events within the community, and were featured at the Reimel Center in Montrose for a special program several years ago.
Musician Larry Lolli taught at Johnson City School District for 31 years, acting as orchestra, theory, guitar, Broadway musical, and assistant jazz band director. Currently, he teaches all strings privately and performs in many various musical settings, primarily as jazz guitarist or bassist and classical cellist.
Musician Rob Weinberger has 50 years of professional experience, performing many styles of creative music upstate, worldwide, and in NYC. He has been called ‘a soulful saxophonist who plays with passionate intensity.’ Rob is the founder of Nexus (jazz), UnityGroup (world fusion), Alpha Brass Band (NOLA street funk), and Salsa Libre (Latin dance music). UnityGroup, Alpha Brass Band and Nexus have performed in Montrose in years past and are thrilled to return to Montrose, where audiences are welcoming, interested, and informed.
Rob also founded and directs Music in the Glen, a community concert series at Glendale Park in Endicott, NY, which has presented more than 140 shows the past six years featuring regional creative and unusual acts. Limited space available.
