Chris studied physical and health education at West Virginia University and worked at a prestigious golf course in West Virginia. This experience allowed him to see the game from different perspectives and deepen his understanding of golf mechanics and strategy. Working full time in the golf industry, he discovered MovNat, a natural movement physical education system that transformed his world. He began training in this style of functional fitness and pursued certifications, becoming a Level 2 MovNat Certified Trainer. This is a holistic approach to fitness that emphasizes the importance of moving our bodies in ways that are instinctive and functional.
Chris is dedicated to sharing his love for movement, lifetime sports, and wellness with the communities in the Endless Mountains. His mission is to empower individuals to embrace natural movement, ensuring they have the health to pursue their favorite activities and achieve overall well-being.
Course Schedule:
Mobility and Flexibility: The first segment of the program emphasizes improving joint mobility and flexibility. Through dynamic stretches and mobility exercises, participants will enhance their range of motion, which is crucial for executing a fluid and powerful golf swing. This foundation will help prevent injuries and ensure that golfers can perform at their best without physical limitations.
Strength Conditioning and Power: In the second segment, the focus shifts to building strength and power. Through targeted conditioning exercises, participants will develop the muscle strength and endurance needed to drive the ball further and with greater body control. This segment also includes power training to boost explosive movements, which are essential for a strong and consistent swing.
Golf-Specific Movements: The final segment integrates the principles of mobility and strength into golf-specific drills and exercises. Participants will practice movements that mimic the actions used in golf, such as swing mechanics and rotational exercises. My holistic approach ensures that all aspects of physical fitness are addressed, leading to improved performance on the course. By the end of the program, golfers will have a well-rounded fitness foundation that enhances their game and prepares them to excel from the first tee.
