Full Moon Labyrinth Walks

Get Your Feet and Mind Into walking” with Monthly Labyrinth Walks.  Celebrate the power and light of the Full Moon each month, mindfully walking the sacred labyrinth path. The grass labyrinth encompasses an expansive lawn area and is a replica of the one laid on the floor of Chartres Cathedral in France around 1220. Monthly special gathering of Reiki practitioners and seekers of healing. Third Tuesdays of the month at 6:30PM. Check our calendar for dates and please call in advance to let us know you wish to participate.

World Labyrinth Day
Saturday, 01 May 2021,  1:00 PM  World Labyrinth Day is an annual event sponsored by The Labyrinth Society as a worldwide action to “walk as one at 1” local time to create a rolling wave of peaceful energy across the globe. Every year on the first Saturday in May thousands of people around the world participate in this moving meditation for world peace and celebration of the labyrinth experience.

Come celebrate International Peace Day with a FREE class of gentle, restorative Yoga, enjoyable for any age (adult) and flexibility level.  A donation is always appreciated. Please RSVP by September 16th.

Labyrinth - We would like everyone to know that Self Discovery Wellness Arts Center in Montrose is open by appointment for labyrinth walks, weather permitting. Individuals and small groups can request a time to walk the outdoor Chartres-replica labyrinth for prayer, meditation, to find solace and healing. If interested, please call Anna, 570-278-9256

Learn specific breathing practices for stress release, relaxation, improved sleep, and overall optimal health.

August 5, 12, 19 and 26 from 4:00 - 5:15PM

All four sessions $75 or $20 per class. We recommend taking all four classes for maimum benefit.

Summer Solstice Open Labyrinth Walk

Saturday June 20th, 2-7PM

Celebrate the Summer Solstice with a sacred labyrinth walk. To comply with social distancing, up to 3 people may walk any time during open hours. A private group which wants to walk together will need to schedule an appointment for a specific time. $10.00 donation appreciated

Join us for a 'Distant Healing Opportunity' at the Center or from your home

The world needs healing from each and everyone of us. A small group will be gathering at the Self Discovery Wellness Arts Center in Montrose to celebrate the Spring Equinox on Friday, March 20 at 6 pm. The buds are budding and the birds are singing all around us, like every Spring.

At 7 pm, we will form a circle filled with healing energy to embrace in love anyone and everyone and the world at large for the undoing of fear and the return to balance. If you wish to participate in person, especially if you are a Reiki practitioner, please RSVP at 570.278.9256.

You may join in sending healing from wherever you are, simply sitting, at 7 pm, breathing into your heart and intending to radiate thoughts of calm, seeing the world as healed, bathed in green light.

The monthly full moon is a significant astrological event that affects us physically, psychologically and metaphorically. September 22, 6:30pm - At the Fall Equinox we honor the changing energies from Summer to Fall and what they mean for us physically and emotionally. Like other seasonal celebrations, visitors get to center in quiet and reflect on the past season and envision how they want to experience the coming season. They are invited into awareness exercises, movement, sharing, a labyrinth walk if weather permits and social time around refreshments. Donation

This is a favorite public event and fundraiser when the lavender is in full bloom. Saturday, July 13, 11-4 we invite people to stop by and savor goodies made with culinary lavender. The lavender festival offers visitors homemade lavender goodies, from ice cream, cookies, to lemonade and specialty coffee as well as locally made dark chocolate lavender truffles. In addition there will be musicians, drumming and specially selected vendors of lavender products.

Friday, June 21, 7:00pm - June 21 is the first day of Summer and we gather to enjoy the warm energy of this special day. We celebrate the Summer Solstice with joyful movement,  empowerment rituals, sharing and, most importantly, with a sacred labyrinth walk.

MAY 1, 11AM - World Labyrinth Day is an international event that invites people to "walk as one" at 1:00pm. We also are offering a class at 11:00am on the significance of pilgrimage, well-known pilgrimage sites and the labyrinth as a pilgrimage experience.

March 21, 6:00pm - We celebrate the return of Spring with centering exercises, setting intentions, music, sharing and labyrinth walk, weather permitting. We're celebrating the Spring Equinox and the Full Moon Together on March 21. This will be a powerful time for welcoming the fresh energy of Spring and setting visionary intentions for the rest of the year. The event will include movement, centering, visioning, sharing, labyrinth walk, weather permitting and refreshments.
